Making Mining More Accessible
Zombiecoin V4 significantly lowers the barrier to entry for mining by reducing the cost to 0.08 USD in WAX. This change allows more players to engage in the core mechanics of the game, while also shifting the focus from WAX tokens towards the ZBC economy and fostering collaborative gameplay.
Strategic ZBC Burning
To ensure the stability of the Zombiecoin economy, we’ve updated the ways to burn ZBC:
Increased Repair Costs — Tools, vehicles, equipment, amulets, cannons, and Lands will now require higher repair costs after a certain number of tasks. This ensures consistent ZBC usage and introduces more strategy to resource management.
Adjusted Exploration Rewards — Items found during exploration and items crafted using them will no longer be exchangeable for ZBC — except for Scorpion, Rare Seaweed, Mystical Flower and Mineral Ingredients.
Crafting the Mining Boost Dish — The Mining Boost Dish is a powerful consumable that increases mining output by 4x while maintaining the same mining cost. This feature ties together multiple game activities, creating a deeper, more interconnected economy. The fruit recipe will be constantly updated and can be checked in the Whitepaper.
Core Gameplay Mechanics Have Been Refined
To ensure a more balanced and engaging gameplay loop, several core mechanics have been carefully adjusted and refined. This is designed to be an iterative process, but it’s a big step forward for a more dynamic economy. Let’s break down these core changes.
You’ll notice cool-down times have been carefully adjusted to vary based on the type of task you’re undertaking. Some quick mining and harvesting tasks may have a cool-down of just 1 minute, while more intensive tasks like boosted exploration can take up to 4 hours.
Exploration, Chopping, and Mining costs are also standardized by task type (regular, vehicle, mega, boosted). Exploration and chopping costs vary based on the type of task, while mining costs are displayed in USD.
All tools and equipment now have a base durability of 500 points, with higher-level tools having increased durability. Lands have a durability of 100, which is consumed by harvesting, fishing, and hunting. Repair costs for tools, equipment, and lands are set at 100 ZBC, and players can also purchase Camel Bulls for 600 ZBC.
A Dynamic Future is Coming
Committed to a dynamic and evolving experience, the Zombiecoin team will be implementing continuous adjustments to gameplay and the economy. Crafting recipes, including the Mining Boost Dish, will be regularly updated, as well as the cost of repairs and exploration in order to maintain balance. A monthly WAX exchange event will inject liquidity, while the focus will shift towards exploration and resource gathering with no new mines introduced. New odds for mining, chopping, and exploring will constantly provide fresh pathways for players.
